Have you ever observed, how a centipede moves around. I wanted to know it. I have closed the main door of the hall where a centipede got trapped. I just observed its movement. It initially went to the corner of the floor, then it started moving by the side of the wall. It travelled the entire length of wall and turned at every corner and moved along the side of the walls. Some where on its way, I tried to block its movement by putting an obstruction. But the poor insect never got tired of going around the block that, I had put. Finally it had reached the entrance door and found a small gap under the door. So it made its way out safely. I noticed a kind of perseverance (a persisiting determination) on this little insect. Eventhough it looked panicked whenever I blocked its movement, it never lost its way. How many of us possess this, what this insect has? I am afraid that, many of us would have ended our life, if such a situation arise in our life. We are too much dependent on our five

Twelfth standard results have been released today. Now its time for some of the parents to feel happy and for many of the parents to feel sad and angry. The chase is on to findout their children and start throwing stones at them, until the parents get tired. I understand the apathy that follow after seeing the marks scored by their wards. Days are gone when parents and students run to collect next days newspaper with lot of anxiety to see the result that would have been printed in smallest of a small font. Children convince their parents by saying "There are lot of printing errors, Let us wait for the actual result from school" for their number not being printed on. They buy some cushioning time before being punished. But it is totally different now. Todays Mobile and internet era have given no such cushion for the ambitious children. Over an SMS parents get the marks in full detail and get ready for beating. This sickness continues and continues. What is the problem?.......

Once again nature has shown its might in an ugly manner. At this time of calamity, I pray for the people who have lost their homes, children who have lost their parents, parents who have lost their children, and for the people who have lost their kith and kin. Let us all pray for them. I must recall that, when the low pressure (called Nargis) formed over Bay of bengal few days ago, we never thought this would be a disaster of this kind. When we were suffering under the scorching sun, the low pressure seemed to be a relief. In fact we all expected rain. But, Natures plan was different, as always. Immediately after the news of Nargis causing extensive damage in Myanmar, our initial reaction was "Thank God, We are safe". What a shame?, How much mean we are. Are they not our brothers and sisters? Dont they deserve our support? Let us realise that, the entire world is a single family, and every human is our family member. Once again my deepest condolences to the people of Myanmar.
