மார்கழி திங்கள் மடி நிறைய பொங்கல் என்று பாடிய காலம் மலை ஏறி போய்விட்டது. மார்கழி காலைப் பனியைப் பாராட்டாமல் பெருமாள் கோவிலுக்குப் போய் கையை நீட்டினால் சுட சுட வந்து விழும் வெண் பொங்கல். திருப்பாவையில் வருவது போல நெய் வழிந்து ஓடும். சின்னஞ்சிறு வாண்டிலிருந்து ஊர் பெரிசுகள் வரை குழுமி நிற்கும். ஆஹா தேவாம்ரிதம். .....ம்ம்.... என்ன செய்வது. காலம் மாறிப்போச்சு. கொழ கொழவென பிட்சாவை வாயில் கவ்வி குதப்பும் கண்ராவிகளைத்தான் காணமுடிகிறது. ஆனாலும் கண் கவரும் இந்த கலர் கோலக்காட்சி மனதுக்கு சந்தோஷத்தை தரும் என்று ப்ளோகி இருக்கிறேன்.

வேலூர் கோட்டை பார்க்கலாம் வாங்க . கோட்டைனா ஏதோ அரண்மனை, அந்தப்புரம், குதிரைகள், அகழி எல்லாம் இருக்கும்னு போனா ஏமாந்துடுவீங்க. அகழி அட்டகாசமாக சுற்றி இருக்கிறது. ஜ்வரகண்டேஸ்வரர் ஆலயம் ரொம்ப அழகாக இருக்கிறது. சிற்ப வேலைகள் விஜய நகரத்தை ஞாபகப்படுத்தும். மற்றபடி அரசு அலுவலகங்கள் எல்லாம் கோட்டைக்குள்ளேதான். மதில் சுவர் பிரம்மாண்டமாக இருக்கிறது. வேலூருக்கு போகும்போது அவசியம் பார்க்கலாம்.
