We all love Sardar jokes. But do you know that Sikhs are one of the most hard working prosperous and diversified communities in the world. My friend told me about the following incident which I wish to share with you. It has had a deep impact on my thinking. During last vacation, my few friends went to Delhi. They rented a taxi for local sight-seeing. The driver was an old Sardar and boys being boys, these pals began cracking Sardarji jokes, just to tease the old man. But to their surprise, the fellow remained unperturbed. At the end of the sight-seeing, they paid the cab hire-charges. That the power demand increasing day by day like the inflation rate and there is acute shortage of power generation due to various reasons. The state of Tamil nadu hasn't come across this kind of situation before. All of us are habituated to 24 hours of electricity, without which our daily life will come to a standstill. Starting from cooking, bathing, sleeping and most importantly watching our favourite program on cable TV, electricity has been our life breath. Unfortunately we are allowed to breath only for 19 hours a day(If we are lucky). But in My place (Neyveli), it is very much different.
