Recently one of my friends expressed his worries about his son who is just over eleven years of age. I understood by his words that his son is annoyingly playful. He said that he has tried for several years to correct him but miserably failed and he looked tired. "Every time he comes back with broken pieces of the toy that I bought for him on previous day" and went on "He doesn't stop there, but climbs on the loft, the tree and what not. I am afraid that one day he 's gonna break his legs..." I stopped him at one point and said, "All children are like this only, Don't worry, he will be alright soon." But he seemed unconvinced. Twelfth standard results have been released today. Now its time for some of the parents to feel happy and for many of the parents to feel sad and angry. The chase is on to findout their children and start throwing stones at them, until the parents get tired. I understand the apathy that follow after seeing the marks scored by their wards. Days are gone when parents and students run to collect next days newspaper with lot of anxiety to see the result that would have been printed in smallest of a small font. Children convince their parents by saying "There are lot of printing errors, Let us wait for the actual result from school" for their number not being printed on. They buy some cushioning time before being punished. But it is totally different now. Todays Mobile and internet era have given no such cushion for the ambitious children. Over an SMS parents get the marks in full detail and get ready for beating. This sickness continues and continues. What is the problem?..........
